About Student Response Systems
What is a student response system? A student response system, also known as a class response system, can refer anything that allows for gathering of responses from students. Student reponse systems are either interactive in class or forms\quizzes to get information from students. Below are examples of each:
According to Northwestern University "The Student Response System (SRS) allows instructors to pose questions and gather students' responses during a lecture. Student response systems are also commonly referred to as clickers, classroom response systems, personal response systems, or audience response systems."
A recent paper by Dong-gook Kim in Educause "Using Google Forms for Student Engagement and Learning" explains that google forms goes way beyond clickers and shows students have a rather favorable view of using forms.
